How To Create A MySQL Database In The Amazon Web Services (AWS) RDS Service
Deploying and managing databases is one of the most complex, time-consuming, and expensive activities in IT. Amazon RDS removes this complexity by automating many of the time-consuming administrative tasks such as hardware provisioning, software installation and patching, storage management, and backups for disaster recovery. In this video Nick will take you through the steps needed to create a MySQL database, configure it and then use My SQL Workbench to connect to the database over the internet. Along the way Nick will explain the options you have when creating a database in RDS, such as Multi-AZ Deployment, Backup Retention and Minor Version Upgrades.
