How To Create A New Azure VM Using A Sysprepped Local VHD
Over the years you’ve created the perfect base image for provisioning new servers to your on-premises server infrastructure. If on there was some way to make use of this base image in your new Azure tenant.
Assuming you’re using Hyper-V, it couldn’t be easier! You can upload your sysprepped VHD to an Azure Storage Account, create a managed Resource Manager image, and then create a new Azure virtual machine.
Just be prepared to wait a while for your VHD to upload.
