How To Create A Simple Pester Test Report In HTML

Pester is an easy-to-use testing framework for PowerShell code, originally designed for unit testing but can also be used for acceptance tests and infrastructure checks, in this video Nick will show you how to create a simple pester test, then using Invoke-Pester to output that to XML, using the reportunit tool we then convert that to an interactive HTML report. You will then see the difference in standard Pester output and how it can be displayed in a great-looking Web interface. Imagine putting this solution into an automated build process. This process would allow you to test code, build acceptance tests or infrastructure checks and automatically create HTML pages which can then go into a central reporting dashboard service! Very cool.
