How To Manage Fine-Grained Password Policies In Active Directory With PowerShell

Sometimes the default domain password policy will not meet your needs for a specific group of users, and you need to apply a custom password policy to that group of users. This can be accomplished by using Fine-grained Password Policies in Active Directory. In this video, we’ll work with fine-grained password policies in PowerShell. We will demonstrate how to view the current default domain password policy, how to create a new PSO (Password Settings Object), and assign users or groups to that PSO. We will also be viewing which PSOs apply to groups & users, and how to view the resultant password settings for a specific user. Finally, we will cover editing and removing PSOs and users/groups from PSOs.
