How To Set Up NIC Teaming In Windows Server 2019
Have a shiny new server with multiple Ethernet ports and want to make sure you get your monies worth out of them? Network Interface Card (NIC) Teaming may be for you!
NIC Teaming allows you to combine multiple physical NICs, anywhere up to 32 of them, into a virtual NIC.
These virtual teamed NICs allow you to benefit from load balancing, where multiple network streams can be sent out through different physical connections. You can also ensure availability of your server, where it can sustain the failure of physical NICs while the teamed interface remains connected to the network.
In this snip, Josh walks through how to configure NIC teaming in Windows Server 2019 and then demonstrates failure and recovery of a member interface.
