How To Setup And Configure Azure File Sync
File servers can be a real pain at branch offices and at large offices sometimes. Azure File Sync is a great solution to this problem. With cloud tiering enabled, we store all the frequently accessed files locally and the rest get moved to Azure and are only downloaded when they are needed. This means we have almost infinite storage, that can be shared with other branch offices and is backed up in Azure, all with small/cheap file servers at the branch. What’s not to like! In this snip, we run through the setup and configuration of the server and service, as well as looking at what we can do to backup the files.
